FAQs

Investors can choose their preferred mode of payment such as UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, or Cheques.
However, if an investor opts to make a payment via UPI to any registered intermediary, then the payment must be made only using the new SEBI-validated UPI IDs allotted to registered intermediaries.

Investors should ensure the following before confirming a transaction:

  1. The UPI ID should clearly display the name of the intermediary, followed by the short abbreviation of their category — for example:
    • brk” for Brokers
    • mf” for Mutual Funds
    • pms” for Portfolio Managers
      (e.g., bonanza.aegis.pms@validibl)
  2. On the right side of the “@”, the new and exclusive handle “@valid” should be present, followed by the bank name.
  3. On the confirmation screen, the app should display a white thumbs-up icon inside a green triangle — indicating a validated UPI handle.
  4. The QR Code generated through the official utility will also contain the white thumbs-up icon inside a green triangle, and the UPI ID will appear just below the QR Code.

No. The new UPI IDs are only required for intermediaries (such as brokers, mutual funds, and portfolio managers).
Investors can continue using their existing UPI IDs for transactions.

The validated UPI handles of intermediaries operate through the same banking channels as regular UPI systems.
In case of any technical issues or payment failures, investors are advised to contact their respective bank for resolution.
